The Abundance Project is pleased to announce the launch of a new Community Kitchen in Warkworth. This Community Kitchen is open to everyone and offers an opportunity for people to come together monthly in their own community to cook, learn and share cooking tips, create nutritious meals, and meet new people in a positive atmosphere. Meals are taken home to share with family members.
When: 2018 Sept. 27, Oct 31, Nov.22, Dec. 20 or 27 TBD,
2019 Jan. 24, Feb. 28, March 28, April 25, May 23, June 27 - 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Soup’s On! Workshop

The weather’s getting cooler, which means it’s time for warm, healthy soup!
This second workshop hosted by the Abundance Project will focus on making soup. Participants will be guided by local chef Lesle Campbell Park. Lesle will walk us through all of the steps required to make bean with ham and squash soups. Lesle will share with participants how to use dried beans, discuss nutrition and the benefits of homemade soups over store bought, and show us how to freeze portions. David Lyons will share some breadmaking techniques with those attending. Even better, participants will get to enjoy the fruits of their labour at the end of the workshop!
The event will take place at St. Paul’s Gathering Place on Saturday, November 19th from 9:30-1, with lunch to follow.
Cost is only $10 and you can register below. The workshop is limited to 12 participants.
Creating The Perfect Apple Pie Workshop

The Abundance Project workshop on creating the perfect apple pie! The Abundance Project is relaunching adult cooking workshops.
This first workshop will coincide with the annual Perfect Pie contest and will focus on making an apple pie. Participants will be guided by three Perfect Pie Contest winners. They will walk us through all of the steps required to make an apple pie. Even better, participants will leave with a pie that is ready to be popped into the oven!
Cost is only $10 and you can register below. The workshop is limited to 12 participants. Please bring a pie plate, rolling pin and apron if possible.
