Welcome to the League of Curious Kids PA day and March Break Program Page!

Teacher PA days and March break got you stressed? Looking for a fun-filled and entertaining activity for your children? The League of Curious Kids is a day camp for primary school-aged children.

“Why does the Queen live with bees?”
“Can I eat that plant?”
“What’s your favourite recipe?”
“What do a ‘lotus’, a ‘tree’ and a ‘downward dog’ have in common?”
“Why, what, how, can I?”

This BRAND NEW program aims to encourage children to ask questions and explore new ideas through exciting program themes and hands-on learning! Kids will get to “ask the experts” and will participate in a wide variety of activities that will incorporate art, music, dance, cooking, gardening and community outreach, and more!

Dates: November 22, January 31, March 16-20*, April 24, June 5
Program runs from 9-4:30. Drop off as early as 8:00 am and pickup by no later than 5:30 pm.

Location: St. Paul’s United Church

Cost: As this program is in its pilot phase, we are asking parents to pay-what-you-can for each program day. The money we collect will help make this program self-sustaining and will ensure the future of the program.

Cancellation Policy: if you need to cancel your child’s participation in one of the program days, we ask that you give us a minimum of 48 hours notice. This allows us to invite a waitlisted child to attend. Of course, we understand that this is not always possible.

*Please note: if you would like to register your child for the March break program, you must sign them up for the full week.

    CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
The League of Curious Kids is looking for volunteers to either lead or help facilitate programming for our PA Day and March Break day camp for school-aged children!

    We are looking for:
Camp Counselors: enthusiastic volunteers who can assist for at least one full day of programming. This position involves helping to facilitate a variety of activities ranging from games, crafts, cooking, gardening, and more in both indoor and outdoor settings. This is a great way to complete high school community service hours!

Activity Facilitators: volunteers who can lead activities for anywhere between 1-3 hours of a program day. If you have a talent that you would like to share, we want you! Some examples include: yoga, painting, dancing, crafting, gardening, cooking, music, etc.

If you are interested in either one of these opportunities, please contact Courtney Good, Youth Program Coordinator for the League of Curious Kids at leagueofcuriouskids@gmail.com.
